I do not even know how I found this video—or how it found me through the algorithm—but I appreciated it. Jonathan Alpeyrie breaks down the work of conflict and war photographers into their most basic attributes and methods, as basic as his own kit. There are no philosophical theories or hard-to-follow trains of thought, not that I would mind philosophy or deeper thinking—quite the opposite—but for a change, I appreciate his approach here.
It is a short and honest lesson. You might want to make time for these 22 minutes. Make it even a wee bit more and take time to look at Jonathan Alpeyrie’s outstanding work.
(Besides, enjoy the fabulous design of his website. Kudos to the design team.)
